Adopt a grid square for World Cleanup Day

14th September 2018

We’re being encouraged to clean up our environment this weekend, as part of ‘World Cleanup Day’, tomorrow.

Pick it Up Guernsey is teaming up with DigiMap and is asking islanders to adopt a Perry’s grid square and womble the area throughout the day.

At the end of the day, participants are asked to post a picture of the rubbish they collected from their square on the event’s Facebook page.

It’s understood that if 600 people take part in the challenge, the entire island would be covered.

If the event goes well it could become an annual challenge.
