Guernsey Celebrates Bunker Day

Today is‘Bunker Day’ which is being celebrated across Europe, as well as in Guernsey.

Atlantikwall Europe is a network of organisations interested in preserving and understanding the remains of Hitler’s ‘Atlantikwall’ during WW2.

Volunteers from Festung Guernsey will open Fort Hommet from 2.00pm, and  Castle Cornet will open as normal, but with a special tour of WW2 Castle at 2pm.

The German Naval Signals HQ at St Jacques is also open to the public.
