Investigations Continue After Motorbike Accident

Guernsey Police are continuing their investigations following a road accident early on Monday morning.

A motorbike collided with a parked vehicle leaving the motorcyclist trapped under the van for a while.

Guernsey Fire and Rescue Service was called out to help release him, while Paramedics treated him at the scene before he was taken to A and E by St John Emergency Ambulance.

Guernsey Police investigations are continuing with an appeal for witnesses, and in particular a taxi driver who may have seen what happened.

In a statement Guernsey Police say any witnesses should contact the police station or Crimestoppers anonymously:

Guernsey Police are appealing for witnesses to a road traffic collision which took place at the bottom of Fountain Street on Monday 13th November.

The incident between a motorcyclist and a parked vehicle occurred at around 7am.  Since then a number of enquiries have been carried out and Police are particularly keen to speak with a taxi driver who is thought to have been in the area at the time and may have witnessed the incident.

Anyone who may have seen or heard anything that may assist our enquiries is asked to contact PC 52 Alex Simon on 725111.  Information can also be reported anonymously via the confidential Crimestoppers line.
