Inside there’ll be live music, dancing, part of a medieval camp, weapons & armour on display and live action role play performances. You can have a go at archery, learn medieval board games and visit the middle-ages art & design room (make your own mini medieval catapult). Fete d’Etai is pronounced fight debt eye and means ‘summer festival’ in Guernsey French.

BOOK READING IN HERM

Megs Bailey, the local author and illustrator of the Percy from Perelle books, (the children’s stories about a family of seagulls) will be reading her latest book, ‘Monky Business’ in Herm The story tells of Percy’s camping trip on Herm. Everyone is welcome. Day trippers who catch the 10.15am boat across to Herm will have time to make their way to St.Tugual’s Chapel where the event is taking place. The reading will start at around 10.45am and afterwards, Megs will be signing her books for those who would like to have their own copy. The event will probably last about an hour.

OPEN TRAINING SESSION FOR LADIES FOOTBALL

SARNIA ARTS & CRAFTS CLUB SAMUEL EARP OIL PAINTING DEMONSTRATION

Born in Guernsey but now living in New Zealand Samuel Earp is a traditional realism artist who has a passion for landscape painting and the sea.  He paints in oils and loves to paint outdoors on location. Samuel has a very distinctive style and technique which he will be demonstrating during the evening.
