2. If item 1 is passed, to approve of the Parish relinquishing ownership of the
residential portion only of La Grande Belle Cottage (the Douzaine Room
cottage) in an asset swap with the States of Guernsey.

CANDIE CHRISTMAS

Every Sunday in December to 23rd

There’s festive fun for all ages at Candie this Christmas season.

A packed programme of seasonal things to see and do.

Santa’s Grotto is in one of the beautiful glasshouses in Candie Gardens, decorated especially for the occasion. A charge of £3 per child applies to the Grotto and includes a small gift.

Visitors of all ages are being invited to make seasonal decorations, crackers and presents. Children’s crafts will take place in the Discovery Room, while activities in the greenhouse gallery are specifically aimed at adults. For returning visitors, there will be different craft activities on offer each week.

Festive family films are being shown in the Frossard Theatre all day and there are new seasonal-themed trails in the Museum too. Live music takes place in the galleries and includes Christmas carol singing in Guernésiais.

There is a beautiful range of gifts on sale in the Museum shop and Café Victoria is open for hot drinks, mince pies, snacks and lunches.

10am to 4pm. Normal admission applies to the Museum, so it’s FREE for Discovery Pass holders.

CAFE FORGET-ME-NOT

First Tuesday of the month

Café Forget-Me-Not is an Alzheimer Café for people with dementia and carers and is held on the first Tuesday of the month from 2.30 till 4.30pm. The Café is held at the Professor Shaw Centre (aka St. Martin’s Community Centre), in the Rue Maze. Afternoon tea will be served and there is no charge.

Alzheimer’s Society hold a drop-in on the first Thursday of every month between 2.30 and 4.30pm at Rosaire Court (Housing And Care 21) in Rosaire Avenue.
