Jersey strikes impact Condor sailings
Condor has altered its sailing schedules for Monday due to strikes over pay in Jersey.
States of Jersey staff will be taking industrial action on 14th January, which will affect the two high speed departures from St Malo.
The boats were scheduled to depart France at 8am and 12.30pm, but the sailings are being combined into one trip at 11.50am.
The boat will be re-routed via Guernsey to allow passengers travelling to Jersey to clear customs in St Peter Port first.
That means the Condor Liberation will operate from Jersey to St Malo, St Malo to Guernsey, Guernsey to Jersey, Jersey to Guernsey and then on to Poole.
CEO of Condor Ferries’, Paul Luxon, says:
‘We are disappointed that the action being taken at such short notice is affecting the travel of our passengers.
‘Condor is endeavouring to offer our customers the best possible alternative options in the face of this disruption through third party industrial action.’
It’s understood no other sailings should be affected by the strikes.
