Jewellery Collection Inspired By ‘Smile For Georgie’
A new range of jewellery in Guernsey has been inspired by a local charity.
Local jeweller, Martin and Martin, has introduced a new range to its Patois collection, which has been inspired by the Smile for Georgie Foundation.
The jewellery features a rose, which is the emblem of the foundation, as well as the legend ‘I faot s’en r’maette et sourire’, which translates to ‘Remember and Smile’.
A commission from each item sold will be donated to the charity, which was established in memory of Georgie Le Prevost, who died tragically in a road traffic accident last year.
The foundation aims to make a difference in the Guernsey community, by carrying out ‘small acts of kindness’.
Georgie’s mother, Jenny Le Prevost, says:
‘We were delighted with Martin and Martin’s suggestion and are happy that they have been able to create something so beautiful.’
