Guaranteed Maternity Leave Could Be Approved This Summer

19th June 2015

New laws guaranteeing things like maternity leave could be approved this summer.

The States will be asked to vote on things like statuatory leave for working parents, and also extra support for them, when they meet at the end of July.

They still won’t actually come into force until at least 2017.

Previously, Deputy Chris Green had warned it takes too long for Guernsey to introduce laws which are common place elsewhere.
