House Prices Fall In Guernsey

13th May 2015

House prices in Guernsey have fallen.

This is the first recorded yearly decrease since 2008.

The average price paid for a house in Guernsey on the Local Market in the first three months of this year was just short of £450,000.

That’s down 3.5% on previous quarter, and 1.6% over the year.

Far fewer properties changed hands. There were only 116 transactions – the lowest quarterly number since figures were first reported.

House prices on the Open Market were at their lowest in 8 years – averaging £800,000 compared to almost £1.1 million a year ago.
