NatWest International Island Games: Day Two
The Games have got off to a flying start according to the Chairman of the International Island Games Association.
In the sailing it’s been a good day out on the Med with Guernsey’s Clem Thompson securing another first place finish in the 2nd day of the Laser Radial. She led the pack for most of this race and will maintain her gold position heading into the rest of the weeks races.

Guernsey’s Garry Dodd won an exciting singles match to ensure Guernsey’s place in team table tennis final at 10am tomorrow
In judo Guernsey’s Lewis Bourgaize beat Jerseyman Will Muir in opening group stage game of 73kg category. Judo is making a return to the Games after many years of absence.
Guernsey and Jersey’s women both lost in the tennis team semi-finals to Gibraltar and Isle of Man respectively. Gib have now gone on to take the gold.
There will be plenty of action and excitement in the pool later as the finals begin tonight in butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke and freestyle.
We’re currently second in the medal table, three behind leaders Jersey. We’ve taken five gold, seven silver, and six bronze so far.
