The musician, whose real name is Rakim Mayers, had earlier claimed he acted in self defence and tried to avoid a confrontation with two men, who he said were persistently following his entourage on 30 June.
He told the Stockholm District Court that one of them picked a fight with one of his two bodyguards, who were also convicted of the same offence and given the same punishment.
The pair, along with A$AP Rocky returned to the United States and were not legally obliged to be present for today’s verdict.
The artist was accused of assaulting 19-year-old Mustafa Jafari – and he spent a month in custody, flying back to the US on 2 August on temporary release following a trial.
On Wednesday, the court said the defendents “were not in a situation” where they were entitled to self-defence – and that they “assaulted the victim by hitting and kicking him.”
The three men will not face prison in Sweden, unless they again commit a similar offence in the country.
