Sarah Groves Trial Due To Resume

13th May 2015

The trial of the man accused of murdering Sarah Groves is due to resume today.

It’s hoped some progress will be made after Richard de Wit appointed a new defence lawyer last month.

We’re used to hearing that there has been little progress in the trial in Kashmir, but this year there has been no progress at all.

Mr de Wit, who denies murder, sacked his defence lawyer in January and there was a long delay in replacing her.

That was finally done last month and his trial is due to resume today.

The court is still waiting to hear evidence from the man who called himself Miss Groves’ boyfriend.

There’s also another 20 witnesses on the list.
