GETTING TO KNOW MARKY T

1. Where were you born?

A block of flats in Guernsey - used to the called Amherst Hospital!

2. What was the first record you bought?

I am somewhat embarrassed to admit that it was a Cassette....and was REO Speedwagon of all things!

3. Who is your favourite group/artist?

Currently the Scissor Sisters - but Queen will always be tops.

4. What made you want to be a radio presenter?

Oh! So that's what I do?

5. When did you join Island FM?

Following the Island Games in 2003 which were in Guernsey. I got involved with the dedicated station Island Sport and was hooked. I found myself on Island FM just a few weeks later.

6. What is your favourite Island FM moment (on or off air)?

There have been so many. Every Big Kids days is amazing, but Christmas is the best! When Santa arrives at IFM to give his pre Christmas greetings, it is pure radio magic!

7. Who is your all-time favourite radio presenter?

Dave Lee Travis - I would listen to him every Sunday morning...Genius!

8. What is the best concert you have ever been to?

I have been lucky to see many including Live Aid. The best however would be Queen at Wembley 1986. The complete concert.

9. What is your all-time favourite record?

The obvious choice would be Bohemian Rhapsody but I have a painful love for Girls on Film by Duran Duran. That video!

10. If you hadn't been a radio presenter what would you have been?

My world is a little diverse!  I am a private banker by day, president of the Guernsey Chamber of Commerce by evening which leaves me nights and weekends for IFM. Who am I!?
