Perkins family respond to inclusion in Times list of billionaires in tax havens
The owners of Specsavers have responded to their inclusion in a Times list of billionaires who live in the Channel Islands.
Doug and Mary Perkins have lived in Guernsey since before they set up the optical giant in 1984.
The couple refuted their estimated wealth of one point seven billion pounds, saying they disagree with how the figure is calculated.
Also included in the list of Channel Island-resident billionaires were Steve Lansdown whose company recently purchased La Grande Mare, and the Barclay brothers who live on Breqhou.
