The Digital Greenhouse currently offers a platform for start-up businesses in the island, but the committee is looking to further it by building a centre for small businesses.

We understand ED is in currently in discussions with landowners and developers.

President of the Committee, Deputy Charles Parkinson, says:

‘The Digital Greenhouse is an incubator, so it’s a place where very small businesses start, and where we see the next step is building a centre for scale-ups.

‘For businesses that are already up and running but are in their infancy and need to grow on.

‘We need to build an ecosystem where four or five person business companies can grow to maybe twenty people.’

The Committee hopes to get the project underway by this summer.
