Face Masks Now Required On All Aurigny Flights

All customers travelling on ANY Aurigny flight to ANY destination will be required to wear a face mask with immediate effect.

In addition to following the States’ guidance, Aurigny are following European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) recommendations in relation to travel at this time and as always, the main priority is the well-being of our customers and staff.

It will be each customer’s responsibility to ensure they have a mask and they should continue to wear their masks until they leave the airport at their destination. At Guernsey airport a limited supply of masks should be available on leaving the security search area, but this cannot be guaranteed.

At other airports, customers should provide their own. Customers not wearing masks at the departure gate will be denied boarding and will not be
able to travel.

Should customers fail to comply with this requirement on board our aircraft and/or remove their mask during flight then they will be treated as a ‘disruptive passenger’ and will be dealt with by the relevant authorities on arrival at their destination.

Only children (6 years old and younger) and those with a medical exemption are excluded from this requirement.

As this requirement comes into force, seating capacity on aircraft will be increased and customers should not expect to be socially distanced on board. This is good news especially for inter-island Bailiwick travel between Guernsey and Alderney, which has seen increased demand.

Aurigny will continue to operate with the highest hygiene measures in place and aircraft will continue to have regular deep cleans.

Please see the States of Guernsey’s Covid-19 website/facebook pages for more details.
