The States of Guernsey are looking for a Customs & Immigration Officer to join their team at the Guernsey Customs & Immigration Service. Immigration Officers work as part of a team to secure the borders of the United Kingdom and Islands by undertaking robust immigration border controls. Its functions also include identifying and investigating breaches of the immigration laws and deporting foreign criminals.

The Immigration & Nationality team is responsible for regulating entry and stay into the Bailiwick of persons subject to immigration control using the various provisions of the United Kingdom Immigration Acts, which are extended to the Bailiwick. Immigration & Nationality assist in delivering an Employment Permit Policy, set by the Committee for Home Affairs, to meet economic and skills requirements and a fair and effective programme for dealing with general visitors, citizenship and long-term immigration applications to the Bailiwick of Guernsey
