The Guernsey Customs and Immigration Service have responsibility for the delivery of the Bailiwick's customs and immigration regimes to enable the efficient and secure movement of goods and people, and appropriately ensuring compliance and enforcement of the regimes. The Service has three main Divisions: Customs & Excise, Border Enforcement and Immigration & Nationality, that work together collaboratively to ensure the Bailiwick is safe including protecting the Islands borders and delivering its strategies to tackle drug trafficking, serious and organised smuggling and illegal immigration.

Job Location: Guernsey
Main Purposes of Job:
Customs and Enforcement Officers work primarily at the harbours, airport and postal headquarters but also around the Bailiwick coastline and inland. Duties range from the stopping, questioning and searching of passengers, searches of vehicles, vessels and freight, executing search warrants, leading investigations and arresting and interviewing suspects, together with participating in covert activities.
Officers also support investigations of cross border criminality to combat persons or syndicates targeting the island in relation to drug trafficking, commercial revenue smuggling and illegal immigration.
