Condor Ferries Suspends Passenger Sailings

Condor Ferries is cancelling all its passenger ferries from next week until at least April.

The Rapide won't visit St Malo from Monday 23rd March, while the Liberation won't sail to the UK from Tuesday 24th.

The sailings are currently set to resume on Thursday 2nd April, in time for the start of the Easter holidays.

Condor Ferries boss, Paul Luxon, says they're committed to bringing passengers home:

"Our priority is to ensure that such essential travel takes place. This is a pragmatic approach given the government advice available in what is clearly an evolving situation.’

"We have taken the step of suspending all passenger services from 24 March to Thursday 02 April and hope to resume for the start of the Easter school holidays. These are, of course, unprecedented times for all of us so our plans could change."

Condor has also announced an agreement with the French authorities to operate services from St Malo on Thursday 19th and Sunday 22nd March to bring back any stranded islanders.
