The Bailiwick's programme to vaccinate the population against Covid-19 has stepped up a gear with the first call centre bookings for appointments from Guernsey's over 75s.

The new system to book vaccination appointments went live on Saturday.

Some 890 patients at IslandHealth in St Sampsons received their first dose of the Pfizer vaccine over the weekend.
