Thousands of athletes, coaches, medics and sports enthusiasts are getting ready for the 2023 Island Games in Guernsey.
Once every two years, 24 different island communities come together to compete in the Island Games.
Today starts the 200-day countdown to the competition in July (8-14), which will be the third time Guernsey has hosted.
Organiser Emma Beardsell says the event will be great for the island, as it provides volunteering opportunities, friendly competition and inspiration for the next generation of athletes.
The games will be spread out across multiple sporting venues in Guernsey - with 1700 medals to be won.
2023 will also be the first year a triathlon relay event will be introduced to the schedule.
