A child has been bitten by a dog that Guernsey Police say 'lunged' through the open passenger window of a car stopped at traffic lights.

The dog is described as a black and white springer or collie.

It was in a blue car that was driven by a bald man.

Officers want to speak to anyone who saw the incident at the junction of Collings Road and Rohais at around 5.15pm on Wednesday (8 June)

The teenager suffered an arm injury.

"If you have any information regarding this incident you are asked to contact PC 191 HOLLINGWORTH on 222 222 or to contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111" - Guernsey Police
