Guernsey's Mallard cinema has banned groups of young people wearing suits during screenings of 'Minions: The Rise of Gru' because of rowdy behaviour.
Teenagers have been taking part in a viral trend on TikTok.
They call themselves The Gentleminions and film themselves watching the movie wearing suits.
The Mallard halted ticket-sales for its screenings of the film because of repeated disturbances.
"We have been very confused and entertained by the recent Tik Tok trend surrounding the release of this film.
Whilst we are delighted to see so much love for Gru and his minions, we are unfortunately finding many groups attending this weekends screenings are behaving in ways that are disturbing the experience for other viewers and families with younger children."
Bosses said they were taking the movie off sale until they could 'ensure only families coming to enjoy the film itself are booking'.
"We are a family friendly venue first and foremost, and feel this step is necessary to avoid further incidents."
Tickets have since gone back on sale, but with a number of stipulations including a 'no suits' rule.
"...we are tentatively putting Minions back on sale, for families and anyone looking to genuinely enjoy the film. We deeply regret how difficult it may currently be for families and young children to plan to come and book for this film.
Sadly, to prohibit repeat incidents, we must implement the following conditions:
1) Bookings can ONLY be made in person, upon arrival. (Times below)
2) Large groups unaccompanied by adults will not be admitted
3) As funny as we found it at first, we will not admit anyone wearing the 'Suit' in line with the 'Tik Tok' trend.
4) ANY disturbance during the film will result in your being asked to leave the premises without a refund."
