Direct flights to Sardinia next summer

There'll be direct flights from Guernsey to Olbia in Sardinia in 2027.

They'll be offered by the C.I. Travel Group during August and September next year.

Its FlyDirect 2027 summer programme also includes weekly flights between May and October to Majorca and Ibiza, Malaga on the Costa del Sol, and Faro on Portugal’s Algarve coast.

The group says its increasing capacity across Jersey, Guernsey, and the Isle of Man following a steady rise in demand for direct flights.

Alexander Devlin, C.I. Travel Group's Director, said:

"Customers have long appreciated the convenience of direct flights, which mean there is no need to travel through a UK airport or book an overnight stay before reaching your destination.

"Sardinia is the first time we have offered holidays to Italy, and we are extremely excited about this stunning new destination in the Mediterranean."

Richard Thomasson, Airport Director, Guernsey Ports, said:

"We are delighted to welcome an expanded FlyDirect Summer 2027 programme, giving our island community access to an even wider range of direct holiday destinations.

"The addition of Olbia, Sardinia is a fantastic enhancement to the network and further strengthens the choice available from Guernsey Airport.

"It is particularly pleasing to see continued growth in a programme that has been so well supported by local travellers, demonstrating the strong demand for convenient direct air services from the island."

All flights from Guernsey next summer will continue to be operated by FlyDirect’s partner airline BA CityFlyer, a subsidiary of British Airways, using Embraer 190 jet aircraft.
