Dogs aren't allowed on seven of Guernsey beaches from today (1 May) for the summer season.
Those out of bounds include:
- Cobo
- Fermain
- L'Eree
- The north end of Vazon
- Port Soif
- L'Ancresse
- Pembroke
Herm's Shell Beach and the area in front of the White House Hotel is also off limits to pets.
The restrictions will last until the end of September.
Dog walkers are asked to keep their animals under control on other beaches, especially around children and wildlife.
Guide dogs aren't included in the restrictions and can be taken on all of Guernsey's bays all year round.
Special permissions can also be made for other working support dogs.
