The current British champion started strongly last night (31 July) at the Scotstoun Stadium and was in contention until he clipped the sixth hurdle.

This was slower than his qualifying heat earlier in the week, which he won in 48.92 seconds.
The race in Glasgow was won by Ezekiel Nathaniel from Nigeria in 48.47 seconds.
