A large outdoor screen will be set up along the Crown Pier for football fans to watch England vs Argentina.
England are just one win away from reaching their first World Cup final since 1966.
The team behind the Guernsey Together Festival has arranged a big screen to show the game at the Crown Pier on Wednesday (15 July).
Free tickets were snapped up in less than 24 hours - despite licensing and agreement from the relevant authorities not yet being approved.
It is planned to open at 5:30pm, ahead of the 8pm kick-off.
Event organiser Alex Lock hopes everyone will have a good time.
“England reaching the semi-final is a fantastic moment, and we want to create a safe, welcoming and enjoyable place where islanders can come together and experience the atmosphere of the match.
"Crown Pier provides a brilliant setting for an event like this.
"We are working closely with Guernsey Ports, Guernsey Police, Home Affairs, Traffic and Highways, Environmental Health and the other relevant authorities to ensure the event is properly planned and safely managed.
"Our intention is for the Fan Zone to be free to attend and suitable for families.
"To help us manage the event safely and remain within the approved capacity, everyone attending will need to claim a free entry pass in advance."
A second public screening is being planned for Sunday's final, even if England don't qualify.
