Latest figures from the States show the price of a local property dipped, while the average rent rose.
Over the past three months, the average price of a local market home being sold in Guernsey has dropped by 2%, to £587,673.
Although this is still 43% higher than five years previous.
There were 145 local market home sales in this quarter, 52 more than in the previous quarter. Although, the same time period in 2023 had 30 more.

Meanwhile, the monthly rental price for Local Market properties rose by 3.1% from the previous quarter.
Renters are now paying on average £1,971 a month.
This is 5.7% higher than in 2023 and 45.9% higher than five years ago.

The average house sale price on the open market this quarter of 2024 was £1,803,750 - compared with £1,633,125 a year ago.
