Guernsey moves to third at the Island Games

Five golds on day three and 29 medals overall puts Guernsey in third spot at Orkney.

Gold success came early in the day for Rose Ogier. The lawn bowler won an individual gold and then teamed up with Julie Williams to take gold in the women's pairs at Kirkwall.

Swimmer Chloe Bown is cementing her stellar performances at these games with another gold in the 200m individual medley, taking her haul to three so far and four counting her team relay gold.

The women's medley relay team, featuring Bown, got silver in the 4x50m event.

At the athletics track, Nic Ackermann got gold in the 400m hurdles and Victoria Hancock in the long jump.

Chris Bain took silver in the 1500m with a time of 3:56.63.

The men's mountain bike squad worked well together and took team silver.

Guernsey got bronze in the head recurve team archery event. 

It puts Team Guernsey third in the medals table at the end of day 3 of the competition.
