The weather has forced the special 50th-anniversary edition of the Vale Earth Fair to relocate.
The Channel Islands’ longest-running music festival was due to celebrate its 50th anniversary today (30 August) at Guernsey’s Vale Castle, but high winds have forced organisers to come up with a new plan.
The Vale Earth Fair will now be spread across five venues in St Peter Port: Beau Sejour Leisure Centre, The Yacht, The Drunken Duck Guernsey, The Albion and the Fermain Tavern.
18+ wristbands must be collected from The Albion in order to access the venues.
Beau Sejour will serve as the main “castle” stage, featuring headline act The Orb. It is also the only venue accessible to under-18s.
Organisers have promised to put on another event for younger festivalgoers in the future to make up for the changes.
