Local companies and tradespeople are joining forces to transform a property on Victoria Road into supported accommodation for young adults.
Action for Children, which supports young people who are transitioning out of care or facing difficult personal circumstances, will have 7 new training flats in St Peter Port by September 2025.
The £2.5M project is being fully funded by Maison Saint Pierre, a local housing charity.
Wheeler Developments is leading the refurbishment on site at a discounted rate, while Norman Piette has provided the building materials.
Evans Architects Ltd and a number of local tradespeople are also playing a role in bringing the vision to life.
Norman Piette Group CEO John Bampkin hopes the collaboration will create a lasting positive impact.
“We’ve always believed that the construction sector plays a vital role in the community - not just through the buildings we help create but by making a real difference in people’s lives.
"This project aligns perfectly with our values, and we’re proud to stand alongside others in the industry to support it.
“This is a fantastic example of what can be achieved when people in the industry come together.
"By working collaboratively, we’re not just providing materials - we’re helping create safe spaces and fresh starts for young islanders.”
