Islanders can now explore the St Peter Port library's book collection through the 'Guernsey Library' app.
The app, which is available on the Apple Store and Google Play, is designed to make library access more convenient.
It allows islanders to use their phones to quickly check out books, renew loans, and explore the collection of physical, audio and eBooks.
Users can also scan book barcodes to check if the Library has a copy – and if so, reserve it.
Parents can link to children's accounts to keep track of what the whole family has borrowed.
The Library’s Adam Bayfield says the app will simplify library use.
“We’re very excited about the new Library App.
"It brings all our collections and services together, making it easy to enjoy everything the Library has to offer.
"It’s really user-friendly, and it’s definitely the most convenient way to borrow books, renew what you’ve got at home, download eBooks, and find your next great read."
JT Community Giving has sponsored the app launch.
