Scammers fake deputy Lindsay de Sausmarez endorsing non existent investment scheme.
Guernsey's most senior politician is the victim of a scam designed to fool investors into buying into a scheme that doesn't exist.
Deputy Lindsay de Sausmarez is warning islanders not to fall for the A.I. generated video or the fake Press reports.
In these, she is purportedly interviewed by a local TV reporter, and endorses a fake government investment scheme.
As in many scams, there is a typing error which refers to deputy de Sausmarez as 'Mr.'
Deputy de Sausmarez has posted a warning on social media to ensure that no-one who may be vulnerable is taken in by the scheme.
It is the latest in a line of scams to use recognisable island figures and the local media.
