Police advise against driving, walking or cycling at Perelle and Cobo.
The Met Office issued a rare red tide warning for flooding today, (9 April) on the morning high tide at just before 0800.
The 10 metre waves were being pushed by strong west north westerly winds, part of a named French storm affecting the islands and south western Britain.
The result was over topping of the sea walls, particularly at Perelle and Vazon, where the roads flooded. Daniel Le Sauvage's took this video of Cobo:
Jersey Met predict winds will continue to be strong and gusty through the morning and early afternoon. Tonight's high tide carries an orange warning, meaning the likelihood of more disruption along the west coast. It's at 19.15 at 9.9 metres.
