Guests at Lihou this Christmas will be able to enjoy a turkey and all the trimmings thanks to the installation of a brand new oven.
The new state-of-the-art gas range cooker has been installed just in time for visitors to Lihou over the Christmas holidays. The house on the island is fully booked with visitors into the New Year.
Lihou Island warden Steve Sarre said the previous oven was over 10 years old and in great need of an upgrade.
‘With around 3,500 guests each year, including students from majority of schools on Guernsey, I know that the new oven is going to be a great help to us,’ he said.
The appliance has been donated by Trust Corporation International.
