A man in his seventies has died following a crash at the bottom of the Val des Terres in St Peter Port.
Emergency services were called to a road traffic collision on Saturday morning (10 February) involving a single vehicle.
A paramedic ambulance nearby was alerted to the incident by a member of the public and was quickly on the scene.
Guernsey Police say the driver, a man in his seventies, was taken to the Princess Elizabeth Hospital where he died a short time later.
"Our thoughts are with his family at this sad and difficult time."
The South Esplanade and Val des Terres were closed for a police investigation into what happened.
