A new restaurant and cafe, along with 11 new apartments, could be built on the Bridge.
A planning application submitted by Victory Construction Limited proposes demolishing the seafront Beekers building (currently used as an RNLI shop), the old youth centre behind it, and a connected commercial property.
In their place, they would build a modern urban-style building containing 11 flats, 10 with allocated parking, as well as a ground-floor café and a restaurant across the first and second floors.
The application states this development would "contribute to the revitalisation of this key seafront location" and remove buildings that "are in a state of extreme disrepair", with the RNLI shop reportedly built on moving infill rubble and needing scaffold support.
Comments on the application can be submitted to the Planning Department until 9 April 2026.
The application is separate to Leale's Yard.
