Police are appealing for information after damage was caused to the flooring in the Pirate Ship at the children’s playground at Saumarez Park.
The area is now unsafe for children to continue playing there, so the Pirate Ship has been sectioned off until it's repaired.
The damage was caused sometime between 6pm on Saturday 24th April and 1pm on Sunday 25th April.
Agriculture, Countryside and Land Management Services, which is responsible for maintaining the playground, said it was saddened by this anti-social act and is working closely with police to help catch the perpetrators.
