A late summer show featuring Guernsey's gorgeous rare breed goats is at Government House today (Saturday 29).
The gardens of Government House are open between 10 and 4 today (29 August) for the Guernsey Goat Society Annual Show.
The animals are the stars, but there are stalls, produce and refreshments on offer too.
The Golden Guernsey was given Royal status by King Charles in July '24.
The show will also feature the goats that have joined the La Société Guernesiaise Conservation Herd, with visitors able to learn more about
conservation efforts.
Guernsey's Lieutenant Governor, Sir Richard Cripwell, says it is a heritage event:
"This show provides a wonderful opportunity for islanders and visitors alike to celebrate this important aspect of our heritage and I encourage families, residents and visitors to come along and support the dedicated volunteers and organisations who work so hard to preserve and promote Guernsey’s rural traditions."
