Longue Hougue has been closed since Friday because of the weather and related problems.
High winds from Storm Austen closed the site on Friday (23 October) and it has been shut ever since.
Wind speeds on Saturday, the result of the second named storm, Boelo, were deemed to high to allow public access.
Guernsey Waste say the roof of a building near to the site has had some panels dislodged and there is a risk they could blow onto Longue Hougue.
Rachel Lowe, the operations manager (designate) at Guernsey Waste says safety is key:
“The site remains closed due to the combination of ongoing high winds and the risk posed by storm damage to a neighbouring building.
"We are monitoring the situation closely and will reopen the facility as soon as it is safe to do so.
"We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.”
