Delay in parents receiving confirmation about which primary or secondary schools their child will attend in September.
Letters would normally be sent to parents by the end of the spring term, however this will now be pushed back. A further update will be provided following the scheduled Easter break.
Ed Ashton, Director of Operations for Education, said: ‘For both Primary and Secondary admissions, it was expected that we would inform parents of their children’s placements for September 2020 by the end of this term.
'Due to the need to focus on the response to the coronavirus pandemic, unfortunately we are unable to fulfil that expectation. We realise that this is
important information for both parents and children and are working to get the information to them as soon as possible. Please be assured that as soon as we have a realistic date, it will be published on the website at www.gov.gg/schooladmissions.’
