The Yacht Harbour Association (TYHA) have given Guernsey’s visitor marina four out of five for Customer Service Excellence.
The Gold Anchor award scheme sets a global benchmark for marina standards - awarding ‘Anchors’ in a similar way hotels receive ‘Stars’.
Assistant Harbour Master Kieran Higgs says the TYHA performed a thorough examination of the visitor marina, with compliance checks and feedback from staff and visitors.
Mr Higgs says they narrowly missed the best rating of five gold anchors, due to some ageing onshore facilities.
"Some of our toilets and shower facilities, although they are clean and tidy and they’ve been very well maintained, they are ultimately reaching the end of their life.
"Some capital projects are already in play, to hopefully invest on some onshore facilities to bring up that standard.
"But ultimately, the team and I are very pleased in this result."
