Construction will begin this summer on the affordable housing project at the former CI Tyres site, now known as Court Falaise.
The Guernsey Housing Association development - of 60 one-bedroom, and 10 two bedroom flats - has been designed to address the island’s identified need for smaller, affordable housing options.
Planning permission for the former CI Tyres site on La Charroterie has been granyted and the design approved by the Committee for Housing and Policy & Resources, meaning it can move into the construction phase.
In July 2025, GHA received planning permission for 59 one-bedroom and 10 two-bedroom homes at the site.
The approved scheme was subsequently enhanced in January 2026 with the addition of a further one-bedroom home.
Essential cliff stabilisation works were also completed earlier this year.
It's expected to be ready for people to move in during the first half of 2028.
Lisa de Kooker, Chief Operating Officer at GHA, said the site is about more than building new homes, rather, about 'making better use of land':
