Up to a quarter of a million pounds has been made available to help any Ukrainian nationals who are eligible to come to Jersey.
The government says the initial funding of £250,000 can cover costs such as visa applications, transport to Jersey, and temporary accommodation for people who can't live with relatives.
The money is from the States' General Reserves.
This is in addition to the £1 million pledged by Jersey's government last week to kickstart the island's Ukraine appeal.
A team has been formed in government to support Ukrainian nationals with family connections to the island.
More than a dozen people have been assessed as being eligible for a visa so far.
Channel 103's been told that around 26 direct enquiries have been received to move relatives here.
Treasury Minister Deputy Susie Pinel says the government is committed to supporting Ukrainians who can come to Jersey during this humanitarian emergency.
“In addition to the £1 million contribution to Jersey Overseas Aid, alongside the Bailiff’s Ukraine Appeal, we want to make sure we have money available in case it is needed to support Ukrainians who may be able to come to Jersey.
“We are committed to supporting these individuals and families during this humanitarian emergency. This funding ensures we can respond swiftly and without delay to this rapidly changing situation.”
Jersey Overseas Aid has already pledged £360,000 to its partner humanitarian aid agencies.
Donations from the public for the people of Ukraine affected by the ongoing Russian invasion of their country can be made through the Bailiff's fund.
