The Battle of Flowers Christmas Parade has been cancelled for 2024.
The annual festive event was initially supposed to take place on Sunday 8 December, but was postponed due to bad weather and safety concerns.
Organisers took to social media to confirm that they were unable to find an alternative date.
The statement read:
'The safety of our spectators and participants is always our top priority.
'Unfortunately, the challenges posed staffing the parade safely have meant we could not proceed confidently with a rescheduled event.
'We extend our heartfelt thanks for your incredible support and understanding, with special gratitude to the Bailiff’s Panel for their tireless efforts as we worked to bring the parade to fruition.
'We wish you all a joyful and festive season.'
