A man allegedly grabbed a boy by the neck and held him against a wall in St Helier.
Jersey Police are appealing for witnesses to the reported incident outside Star Stores on Colomberie last Saturday evening (27 November) at around 7.30pm.
The force says a woman with two young children and a man were seen together, when the man then grabbed one of the children, who was aged about 9 or 10, and held him against a wall by his neck.
The man then left with another woman and walked towards Snow Hill.
The woman and the two children walked towards Howard Davis Park.
It's believed they are all known to each other.
The alleged assault was reported to officers by a member of the public.
