Jersey Police want to speak to anyone who saw a boy steal money from a girl at a cashpoint and smash her phone on the floor.
Officers say it is alleged to have happened outside Lloyds Bank on Conway Street in St Helier at around 4:30pm on Friday 22 April.
Three teenage girls were at the cashpoints when a boy and two girls approached them.
A boy has been arrested on suspicion of larceny and malicious damage. He's been bailed pending further enquiries.
The girl wasn't hurt.
The boy in question is described as being around 5ft3" tall with short dark hair and wearing a black tracksuit top and bottoms and black trainers.
It's thought he was wearing his hood up at the time of the alleged incident.
Police say those involved 'are all known to each other in some regard' and were around 14 years of age.
Anyone who saw what happened is asked to call Jersey Police on 612612 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
