Cheaper parcel prices for 2026

The cost of sending a parcel from Jersey will be cut in January, but stamp prices will rise.

Jersey Post is reducing prices by 5% for packets weighing less than two kilos and 10% for packages those under 20 kilos going to the UK, Europe or 'rest of the world' destinations.

But stamp prices will rise, to 82p for a local letter and £1.40 for UK-bound mail.

Inflation-based increases will apply to local large letters and parcels to £1.25 (from £1.20) and £2.05 (from £2.00) respectively

It's the second year running that parcel prices will have been lowered because of increasing volumes.  Traditional mail volumes continue to decline.

Mark Siviter, CEO at Jersey Post, says: “We’ve thought carefully about our 2026 prices to ensure we prioritise affordability and continue to represent good value for our customers, whilst also considering inflation-based cost of living increases.

“We’ve worked hard over the last couple of years to make our business more sustainable. We’re pleased we’ve been able to further reduce parcel prices following customer feedback, to continue supporting islanders.”

The new prices will come into effect from Tuesday 6 January 2026.
