DFDS adds Poole sailing to get stranded islanders to Jersey

The sailing from Poole tomorrow will be the first UK passenger sailing this week.

DFDS has cancelled its Portsmouth sailing for a fourth day in a row - it will not run tomorrow morning (23 April) after not running all week.

The Poole sailing to Jersey will leave at approximately midday, on the Levante Jet.

Passengers booked on the cancelled Portsmouth service may transfer to this sailing free of charge by contacting DFDS.

Stena Vinga was due to take over today, but is stuck in dry-dock in Falmouth - unable to move, we're told, due to weather.

The Côte d'Albâtre has been operating the Portsmouth route as a replacement, but has been unable to berth in St Helier this week due to strong easterly winds.

The next available sailing from Jersey to Portsmouth is scheduled for Friday morning.

DFDS says weather conditions are expected to improve although some disruption could continue into Friday.

DFDS is offering passengers a refund for their affected route, a complimentary future booking, and inviting customers to contact them if they have paid for accommodation.
