Former Jersey politician and businessman Tony Chinn has passed away at the age of 90.
Mr Chinn was elected in 1990 and served six years in the States Assembly.
He followed in his grandfather's footsteps, who was also a Senator, following the end of the Occupation.
Tony Chinn sat on numerous committees, including Finances and Economics, Telecoms, and Harbours and Airports as Vice-President and the role of Chair of the Trade and Industry Sub-Committee.
During this time, the Saint-Malo catamaran crash, where all 300 passengers were rescued after the vessel hit the rocks at Corbiere in 1995.
The former senator unveiled the 'clasped hands' statue on the cliffs to commemorate the disaster, two years later in 1997.

Tony Chinn also worked in and eventually led the board of directors at the jewellery shop, Hettich.
It was founded by his grandfather in 1900.
