Jersey's Infrastructure Minister is attempting to reframe a debate on the future of the Havre des Pas Lido.
A proposal brought by Deputy David Warr is due before the States Assembly next week, which seeks to reverse the government's decision to appoint First Point, a private management company, to oversee the outdoor bathing pool.

The backbencher supports the 'Love Our Lido' group, which aims to become a charity, to run the bathing pool and its facilities.
He has proposed £170,000 of public money be given to the group annual for the Lido's upkeep.
The debate was due to take place earlier this month, but was delayed after a independent review into the tender process was promised.

The review - led by Jurat Anthony Olsen is now underway.
Infrastructure Minister, Constable Andy Jehan, hopes Deputy Warr will defer his proposal, set for next week, for a second time.
If not, he wants to change the wording of what States Members will be asked to vote on next week, so that the review can be concluded before politicians make a decision on the future operation of the Lido.
"The Chief Minister and I are of the view that the proposed independent reviewer should be given the time that is needed to complete a more thorough review. It is important, in our view, that the concerns raised by Love Our Lido are properly considered independently, and that we can all move forward with confidence to the next stage of this process, whatever that might entail."

The Minister has set a deadline of Christmas Day for a decision, which is when the public is due to take vacant possession of the site.
